Raindrop Technique

massage raindrop

 Who doesn’t love a massage?
If you have not experienced a Young Living Raindrop Massage, you don’t know what you are missing!
The purpose of this technique is both relaxing and therapeutic. The technique is a combination of aromatherapy at its best with a bit of Swedish massage, Vitaflex (an ancient Tibetan technique) and Feather Stroke which comes from Native America.  The treatment involves a sequence of Young Living’s Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils dropped like raindrops onto the feet and along the back and spine.
Why do this?

The treatment promotes spinal alignment, energy balance which aids in circulation. The Young Living Essential Oils used are have powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties. This will aid in flushing out toxins, ridding the body of microbes lying dormant (which can be the culprits behind pain, illness,  and spinal mis-alignment).
The feather stroke wakes up the nervous system allowing the nerve receptors to receive the healing essential oils and to move them around the body. Vitaflex is used on the spinal flex points of the feet. This can aid in lymphatic circulation and drainage.  The treatment doesn’t end when it is over.
The Raindrop Massage benefits can last up to 7 days.

Family Fav - YL PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL

My fwen called it her 'Mighty Oil'
My family use it a lot for any digestive issues like stomachache
feeling nauseous - just place 1 drop into the palm of the hand and rub onto the belly in a clockwise motion.
Hold the hands on the belly for around 30 seconds.
I also find 1 drop of peppermint oil in a cup of warm water great for the sinuses as well as a good “pick me up”!
We’ve also used Peppermint oil in warm water to give immediate relief from UTI’s ( Urinary Tract Infections)
For a blocked nose, simply inhale the oil direct from the bottle and you’ll be clear in no time.
Rub into the temples for headache relief.
If you’ve overeaten, place a drop under the tongue or rub onto the belly for quick relief.
Diffuse peppermint oil when studying. It can improve concentration levels. Taking the oil with you to an exam will then encourage recall of your study! For any general aches and pains – just rub into the body
(do not use on any open wounds)

FROM MY FWEN LIZA ALI ON HOW SHE USE THE YL OILS FOR HER FAMILY

For friends who have PM-ed me to ask about the oils I use to manage my kids' (and mine) cough, runny/blocked nose & phlegm, I will explain how I use them here.

Thieves - highly effective against airborne bacteria and to be highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health. I apply on their soles whenever they have cough or runny/blocked nose. Diffuse in the room. I also apply on their soles daily before going to school to protect them from getting sick easily.

RC - gives relief from colds, bronchitis, sore throats, sinusitis, coughs and respiratory congestion. Decongests sinus passages, combats lung infections and relieves allergy symptoms. Apply on soles, chest and back. Diffuse in the room.

Peppermint - has a strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma. Applied on their soles, chest and back when they have fever. Effectively brings the temperature down. Great replacement for panadols when I have headaches too.

Myrrh - Used on their soles, chest and back to tackle phlegm problems.

Breathe Again - My favourite. Smells great. A blend of oils specially formulated to support respiratory health. Contains four powerful eucalyptus oils: Eucalyptus staigeriana, Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus radiata, and Young Living's Eucalyptus blue. Eucalyptus oils contain high amounts of cineole, which has been studied for its potential to support healthy lung function. Well-known for supporting the respiratory system, the eucalyptus oils in Breathe Again aid in awakening the airwaves and opening the nasal passages. By rubbing Breathe Again on the chest or under the nose, it is designed to promote healthy sinus function.

So there, the basic oils that helped my kids so much.

LAVENDER - THE SWISS ARMY KNIFE OILS

Known as the gentle giant who can do it all, when in doubt, oilers use lavender. But oilers also know that there is a whole lot of imposture lavender out there parading about as the real thing. That’s why you need a trusted company like Young Living with over 20 years of reputation for being the best and the purest in the industry. For the young and old and everyone in between, “wavender” fixes our booboos, calms our anxiety, soothes our burns, and stops our allergies in their tracks. Every household should have several bottles of this oil lying around. You don’t have one yet? COme try the Lavender EO for a start especially if you have kids.

How do we use Essential OIls

You can use essential oils, also commonly referred to as EOs, aromatically, topically, internally or around the home. I usually put 1 drop of essential oil on my hand, rub my hands together, cup them close to my face and inhale eight times. Breathing deeply and slowly, I imagine the healing essence seeping through every cell of my physical, emotional and spiritual being. Sometimes we forget the importance of breathing properly.
Breathe…
I love diffusing essential oils, though certain oils like vetiver which is quite thick and syrupy may not be suitable for diffusing. I also prefer not to diffuse certain oils like eucalyptus or peppermint as I find that it stings my eyes. I adore my home diffuser so much that I now have bought three… but the girls accidentally broke one, oops! So now we have one for the girls’ room, and the other one oscillates between the living room and my bedroom.
“When therapeutic-grade essential oils are inhaled either by cold air diffusing or by cupping the hands over the nose and inhaling deeply several times, the tiny molecules absorb easily into the delicate membranes of the nostrils and travel up to the brain, stimulating the amygdala which is the emotional center of the brain.” ~ Frances Fuller
I also add a few drops of essential oil into the girls’ bath, especially when they’re sick. By the way, never heat essential oils. It alters the molecular structure of the oil and will affect its therapeutic properties. Adding it to a warm bath is fine, but heating it up is a big no-no.

HOw a mummy help to heal her son Eczema

How I Helped Heal my Son’s Eczema!

by WE STOPPED POPPING PILLS on JULY 4, 2013

How I Helped Heal my Son’s Eczema in Only 2 Weeks! In June 2013, my 20 month old son started to break out with Eczema on his shoulders and underarms.  The Eczema continued to spread to both of his thighs.  I chose not to use prescription medication for his Eczema, so I used a combination of Young Living products to help heal his skin.I used four Young Living essential oils: LavenderMelroseFrankincense, and Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree oil).  I put 20 drops of each of the oils into an empty 15 mL bottle.  I placed 4 drops of the blend and 1 pump of V-6 Vegetable Oil in my hand.  I applied it to all of his affected areas.  Then I applied Tender Tush on top to keep the area moist.  I repeated these steps in the morning and night.  I also used Melaleuca-Geranium Soap when giving my son a bath.
After the first week, the Eczema on my son’s shoulders and underarms were mostly gone and it was fading on his legs.  By the end of two weeks, my son was completely healed and Eczema free.  My husband and I were so excited with these fast healing results.

Flour Free Oatmeal Cookies

1/3 cup (2 ¾ oz) unsalted butter
7/8 cup (6 oz brown sugar)
½ teaspoon salt
2 drops cinnamon essential oil
1 drop nutmeg essential oil
1 drop clove essential oil
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar (or white)
2 large eggs
2 ½ cups (8 ¾ ounces) rolled oats

In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, salt, oils, baking powder, vanilla, and vinegar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time. Beating well after each egg is added. Stir in the oats. Cover bowl and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease or line with parchment, 2 baking sheets.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, and drop it by the tablespoon full onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each cookie to about ¼” thick using your fingers that have been moistened with water.
Bake the cookies for 10 minutes, or until their edges are lightly browned. They will not look completely done in the center but that is fine. Remove them from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
